Construction continues at The Adelfa B. Callejo Building – the future home of DuBose Law Firm’s principal office. Built in 1954, the building was the office of a Dallas civil rights icon, Adelfa B. Callejo, from the late 1970s until her passing in 2014.
Extensive remodeling and updates are now taking place at the site. Over the summer, the interior was demolished down to “white box” conditions. Prior to the demolition process, asbestos abatement of asbestos floor & ceiling tiles, asbestos glazing and other materials occurred following stringent Texas and U.S. abatement standards.
The main exterior elements of the 1950s contemporary office building will remain with enhancements provided by new windows, store front glass, landscaping, and an expressway courtyard.

Currently, interior construction is underway and soon exterior improvements will be visible as well. Completion of construction is anticipated for December 2016.
