We enjoyed working with college intern, Emily Ward, this summer. Emily attended a week-long trial, several hearings, and performed administrative work at our office over the summer.
Currently a junior majoring in government at the University of Texas in Austin, Emily plans to attend law school. She got the bug to be a lawyer from her early days in high school. Emily was a star member of the Woodrow Wilson High School mock trial team throughout high school. She competed as a mock trial lawyer – often with roles on both sides of the courtroom. Emily’s talent in mock trial led her to receive the all DISD “Outstanding Advocate” award for three consecutive years.
Emily never runs from a challenge and is excited about getting in the courtroom someday to fight for the little guy! We look forward to seeing you in court, Ms. Ward!
