As a lawyer representing asbestos victims i can tell you that a diagnosis of malignant mesothelioma that that is cancer but it would require a biopsy or pleural fluid to be drained and then special testing and staining to be performed to to confirm the diagnosis it’s a cancer that most commonly develops in the lining of the lung called the pleural lining but other parts of your body have similar linings made of mesothelial cells particularly the heart cavity and the abdominal cavity where mesothelioma can also develop it is possible to to have a diagnosis of benign mesothelioma but in either case you need to consult your doctor to understand your diagnosis and what your treatment options are.
